The museum is situated in the centre of the world famous mining district of Camborne-Redruth and has many specimens from local mines, the UK, as well as from foreign mining districts. Combining aesthetic specimens of crystal forms with educational displays of other minerals and rocks it seeks to explain their richness of the diversity in the mineral kingdom, man¦s usage of this raw material, as well as the earth's geological development.
